What's the difference between install Mysql with XAMPP or directly from the website?
Do they run differently? |

I think the main difference is that you get it bundled with Apache, PHP and Perl and everything is probably pre-configured. Can't think things work any differently.

I think rockstarsmasher means the binary mysql.com offers.
