External link to named anchor glitch Options

I have an external link to a named anchor within my webpage.

example:

<a class="projects" href ="http://www.example.info#namedanchor">Section Name</a>

the link works, however when I click on the link and my browser loads the new page, the top of the new page always flashes on the screen first before it loads directly to my anchor??

Let me know if this makes any sense and if you have any suggestions. Thank's for your help.

Maybe it's a browser issue. Some browsers render the page while it's still loading, others may wait until all the page's files have loaded.
