HTMLHelp Forums _ General Web Design _ Dreamweaver issue

Posted by: lschoebel Mar 16 2012, 12:43 PM

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I have a question. My boss had me design an e-blast in Photoshop and then insert the links in dreamweaver. I did all of that, but after saving the html file I tried sending it to my colleague to test is, but the images didn't come up, because the code obviously links them to my computer and not his. Now my question is, how do I go around that issues? Do I have to upload the images to a public server to make them viewable?

Please help, thank you.

I don't know what an e-blast is and I'm not sure what you've done, I guess it involves cutting up an image you created in PS?

Anyway, use relative URLs, not file paths on your system. Zip up the whole folder where you have your project files and send that, i.e HTML and images. As long as the file structure is the same it will work on any machine. Or upload the whole thing to a server and give your boss the link.
