Hi!
I am new to the forum. I need some help. I am a newbie to all things HTML/CSS. I have been trying for days to fix this problem...I am not sure why the footer keeps floating in the middle of the page. Please help! Any help is welcomed! http://rsanyc.net/new_website/calendar.html Thanks! |

Do you mean the blue strip, which looks as though it is meant to be at the bottom, but appears in the middle of November (or similar)??
First, don't use the word "float", because no-one here except possibly me understands it. Because it's a css keyword, with a specific unobvious meaning. Second, you have assigned the CSS value "position: relative" to this footer. Why? What do you understand "relative" to mean? Like most CSS keywords, this does not mean what an educated speaker of English would expect it to mean. Probably you should just remove all trace of CSS "position" settings, and let the blue strip appear naturally at the bottom of the page (assuming it's at the end of the source html file). |

Go see http://www.cssstickyfooter.com/ .
BTW, your page returns javascript errors and some, related, 404 File not found. Also, pass your page through the validator (link at top and bottom of this page). |
