Hi, I'm working on a website in which I can't get the image to size right on some computers. I know this is a common problem, but I don't remember what some of the solutions are. I know absolute positioning forces the position of an element but does it help with the size? also, does it matter the format of the picture?

No, it isn't a common poblem. Do you resize the image with HTML? Please post the link to the page or we don't have a chance to know what's wrong.

Wait, you don't have Automatic Image Resizing (or what's it called) on in IE, do you?

The website is http://www.fountainchurch.org. The client is insistent on using Joomla for editing which I strongly disagree with. I think I could solve these kind of problems in Dreamweaver, but I can't convince him of that.

This image http://www.fountainchurch.org/images/stori...e%20vine_sm.png ? Yeah, it's too large for the layout and you use 'overflow: hidden'. So what's the problem with resizing it in an image program?

That's a thought. This is off the subject a little, but when you are on a web design team, how many people should have access to the editing especially when there are technical problems like this?

I have no idea (about the web design team).

Back to the image, what did you try other than resizing the image in an image program? That's the only good way to do it.

Well, you have resized the physical image file, so that's good. I didn't know DW could edit graphics.
