Hi. I have a small website that I have built to document everything that we do on our, soon to be, family holiday in Cornwall next month.
On this page, and others within it:
http://par.zapf-taylor.co.uk/journal.html
I want the day's activities to be written into each day's journal page from the front end by my wife at the end of each day. I don't really want her to have to use the html to do this, unless I have to. How can I insert a form element that will automatically populate into a journal page then disappear?

Help would be great.
Hob

The form is the easy part. The hard part is the program that runs on the server to process the form data, and then display the text as part of a web page.

What kind of programming experience do you have? What kind of programming languages can you use?

This sounds like a blog. There are many readymade ones you might try, such as Wordpress, Blogger or Tumblr.

Well, I am self taught, to wit I generally use just HTML and CSS but know how to include and populate(?) Javascript and PHP when it arises. I can never remember what are elements or whatever. I can't write either of those balls of mischief per se.

I know this is a biggy, but I am trying to keep my wife out of my HTML....
