What I want to achieve is a VERY wide background image but the necessary content is only, say, 950 pixles wide. I don't want a horizontal scroll bar to come up unless the window is less than 950 pixles wide, even though the VERY wide background image just pretty, not essential and say 1600 pixles wide. This is done on The World of Warcraft website so maybe that will make clear what I'm attempting. I can't tell from their code which part of it is creating the effect I want. I hope I'm using the correct terms and I appologize if I'm missing something obvious. Thank you.

Background images don't make the window scroll.
