Hopefully it's good for the Firefox browser to no longer depend financially on Google, the creator of competing browser Chrome. At the same I suspect this will lead to budget cuts at Mozilla, with resulting turmoil. mellow.gif

I've been using DuckDuckGo since I upgraded to Yosemite (Apple offers it as a preference), don't really notice any difference (other than visual), the search results seem about the same quality - without any adds or tracking.

Wonder how Google will react if Firefox will now become its direct competitor. Perhaps another browser war awaits?

This actually aggravates me because in school every time you log in they don't save your preferences, so I have to reset Google as my default for Firefox at every single log in on the school computer.

I use and like both Chrome and Firefox, they both have a few things the other doesn't. I don't like Yahoo search engine though, I think the search results are much better, current, and larger on Google, at least for what I search.
