I am in the process of redesigning my website at www.maineweddingplanner.com and I get this weird code on the top of my pages...

Any ideas?

These characters show up in the code, so you should be able to locate them in your editing program.

BTW, in the middle of nowhere, the <html> code restarts, at least partially. Pass your page through the validator, which points out such errors.

The code is a td tag above the html tag.

<td valign="top" width="9" align="left" bordercolor="#B5DEEF">

Can't you just delete the junk characters?

I tried to delete the junk, but it actually does not show up as I am editing. It only shows if I view sourec on the web.

I use an .shtml structure with a footer2.htm and header2.htm page along with indes.shtml

For design, I am currently trying the Share Point Beta

I am completely stumped
