Goog day!

Help me please.
I have many pictures on my site.
It takes a long time until all the images are downloaded.
I want to show low-quality copies of this pictures while they are downloading.
What are the ways to do it?

Thank you!

P.S. SME(sorry my english) biggrin.gif

Please see the FAQ entry How can I create a thumbnail image that is linked to the full-sized image?

Or does the OP mean lower quality, but with large dimensions?

One silly idea might be to show a poor quality image as a CSS background of the high quality one.

Images can also be made to render progressively in graphics programs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlace_(bitmaps)

Note that any of this increases total download time.
