Hi, all! I'm new to this forum, and I haven't seen any similar discussions to this one, so here goes...

I have a personal website that allows me to password-protect any subfolder in the domain. I can set the usernames/passwords with no trouble. I use this area for remote access to some sensitive documents for me and my wife.

The trouble is that once you log in to this area, you have access to the restricted area even after you close that window. If you were to go into the history and find the url, it wouldn't ask you for a username and password again.

Is there any way to get a website to force entry of UN/PW on each visit to a restricted area? Can this be accomplished by some form of code that removes any cookies or other identifying information upon exit from the page or close of the window?

Thanks in advance!

What mechanism are you using for password protection?
