Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for suggestions on how to improve my site http://www.timsfreestuff.com. I know it doesn't look very professional at the moment which is why I'm looking for some advice.

I know the background is looking very plain at the moment so if anyone has any suggestions on what I could do with that I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

1. Put Google ads on the right hand side, on the left on would expect navigation.

2. Tim's Free Stuff deserves a better logo. Since your site is free, let me know and I create a logo for you for free.

3. Some colours will not kill you smile.gif

Thanks for your suggestions! I agree Tims Free Stuff does need a better logo unfortunately my artistic skills are rather limited so if you want to make a logo for me I would be eternally grateful!

I'm also agree that the background is looking rather blank at the moment. I'm working on something as we speak but I'm still not too sure about it. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could put in the background I'd love to hear them.

I think I'll also try moving the google ads to the right for a bit and see what effect that has

Thanks again for your suggestions!

You may want to use a background color everywhere. Not eveyne uses white in their browser. Your middle section is gray in mine. There are javascript errors, at least on the dictionary page.

Hi Tim

I am a total novice (and still learning) but this is what I think:

google ads on the right preferably in a box form (it looks loose, if you know what I mean)

your "whats new section" on the home page looks messy and although you have used bullits the rest of the text isnt in line.

"tims free stuff" doesnt look dynamic enough but you could incorporate the colours of the text into the rest of your website and create a theme. ambers/black/grey/white

the hello and welcome paragraph could be more prominent

But hey well done........ biggrin.gif I have just redesigned my website after feedback on here so its a good thing.............and I am still learning.....have only been doing this a month rolleyes.gif
