The "X CLOSE" is not working on a current lightbox v2.03a I'm using. All images appear on click, however they will not X out unless I click the screen off the image. This is on Chrome for Mac. I recently tested with Chrome on a Windows system and it worked fine. Any ideas how I can correct this or the cause?
<head> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/prototype.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/scriptaculous.js?load=effects"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/lightbox.js"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/lightbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> </head> <body> <a href="pictures/nashvillestar.jpg" title="title goes here" rel="lightbox[gabelightbox]"> <img src="pictures/nashvillestar.jpg" width="175" height="120"></a> <a href="pictures/nashvillestar2.JPG" rel="lightbox[gabelightbox]"> <img src="pictures/nashvillestar2.JPG" width="175" height="125"></a> <a href="pictures/parade.JPG" rel="lightbox[gabelightbox]"> <img src="pictures/parade.JPG" width="185" height="150"></a> </body> |

You posted that question on codingforums.com too. There I found the URL to your page: http://selahack.com/photos.html (which we need to see what happens), but the page failed to open because the server isn't responding.
Maybe you missed something from the instructions. Have a look here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/lightbox2/ . That's one that uses v2.03a. That seems a rather old version of Lightbox. The original Lightbox script is now at 2.7.1, see http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/ . Do you get any errors in the browser console? I don't have nor will install Chrome. But I do have Safari (Mac) and both browsers are webkit, so should work the same. Try it in Safari on Mac and look what happens. And use its Web Inspector to find out if there are errors. Or are you using another alternative lightbox? |

Please try the link again, yes this is the url to the lightbox live on the web: http://selahack.com/photos.html Dynamic Drive is the exact site I got this Lightbox v2.03a from. I have got it work before, but right now the X Close will not close the image. I received no errors in Dreamweaver CC. It's doing the same thing on Chrome and Safari. It doesn't seem to be a browser issue. |

I replaced Lightbox v2.03a with this link to V2.7.1 you provided: http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/ It works and looks great. Thank you again. |
