My client wants a pull out menu tab, but he doens't want it linked. Is that even possible. I have tried to delete the link I initially put there and it keeps giving me an error message saying that I need to add a link. The client wants the 3rd pull out menu links to acutally link, but the 2nd tier - he want it NOT to link. Can I do that?

What's "it"? The name on the pull out tab. For example - there is a main button called services. Pulling out from there are 2 buttons that have service catagory names (Graphics and Resesarch) and pulling out from there are buttons that have specific Graphics and Research services. He doesn't want the Graphics and Research menu button item to link to anything. Is that possible. On the spry menu, it makes you add a link. |

Spry menu sounds like a menu generator, I think.
Unless Spry has a section naming feature than you might be out of luck. You'd need to hand edit the code to remove the link. A nonexistent link might get you past the Spry warning, but links to nowhere are bad. And, you should only do this if you can then remove the link. Another option is to link to a site map page that lists the sub pages. It would be an accessible feature for people who, for whatever reason, can't use your menus. |

Ah! I've always thought it was just what people call a certain kind of menus. You made me google and it turns out it is one of DWs canned scripts, using AJAX no less.
If that's the case, yes, feed DW what it craves and remove the link from codeview later. Should work unless the link is actually essential for the menu to work, e.g. it uses :hover for that link to display a submenu or something. |
