Hi
How r u?
Happy New Year

I am 14 an interested in mastering it but dunno how to improve it..

actually I wanna make a blog, not with the help of LJ, blogger, wordpress or others, but i want to make a blog from the scratch.. n i am getting troubles writing it, offcourse..

I will be blogging about sports, school, study, exams, love etc
I mean I'll be blogging under these categories...
so I want that in the top-right side of the page my blog shows all these categories..
and anyone can click on these links and see all the post in that section which means if someone clicks exams, top 10 posts shall be displayed and the rest posts must be on the following pages...

in the bottom right part I need categories based on year and month
.

and the rest part of web contains my top 5 posts
mentioning the date and category in which it was posted
I mean

Sub-ABCD
posted on jan 5,2011 under the category LOVE

Sub-QWERTY
Posted on jan 4, 2011 under the category EXAMS

Sub-POIUT
posted on jan 3, 2011 under the category SPORTS

I also require a feature to comment on every post

I own an online space of 300MB
is it sufficient?(I'll be hosting all multimedia files on other websites)

There is an ADULT website [removed by moderator] which works in the same way..

Please help me and tell me what do i need to learn in order to make this...

HTML isn't programming. It's just markup. For that matter, CSS isn't programming either.

PHP is programming, but it isn't something you can just throw together from bits and pieces that you copy from somewhere else. I recommend that you take a programming class or three.

It would be easier to use an existing blogging platform.

You need to be well versed in the programming language you choose to do it in. That doesn't happen over night. It would be much quicker to use a finished blog software and a good learning experience too, if you want to learn how blogs work. Note that you don't need to use services like Blogger and WordPress.com. You can install the scripts on your own server and customize the the templates and style sheets so the layout would be your own. That's usually a hard enough task for someone who has never done something like that before and it's definitely where you should start.

Of classes I know nothing, but rumor has it most are rubbish.

That first two are easy.
1. HTML
2. CSS

The rest is more a matter of taste and depends on what you want to do, but those two you need and you need them in that order. BTW ASP is a typical language for Windows servers, so there's another choice, if you want to use Linux or Windows servers. Not much point in learning ASP if you plan to play on Linux.
