Hello,

I'm a total newbie when it comes to web design and I am using frontpage 2003.

I wanted an image file as a full screen background, I achieved this by building a table(or layer) and making the image stretch to 100% on the table or layer width.

My problem is that when I put text over it, and resize the browser, the text moves about while the background is staying static, this is a problem as I want text over certain parts of the full screen image.

Is there any way to achieve the desired effect without the text moving?

Placing content over specific areas of a background image is a fragile way to design page layout. It's even more fragile when the background image is really a content image that has been resized.

I recommend starting over, and giving each area of the page its own background, using techniques similar to this:
