Hi, is there a way to resize an image like the one that is 1863x1243 to a size like width 750 height 350 without distorting it?

Only if you also crop the image so it gets the right proportions.

If you use framing around the image, you can use a little more on the sides you want larger.

If I crop it what's the best way of doing it? I understand the concept of cropping, just not sure how to do it with these specifics.

I don't know what editor you use, but usually there's a way to set the proportions and then drag the cropping rectangle larger and smaller or at least you should be able to see the width and height of the cropping rectangle.

Maybe the image wasn't created by MindyT, but found e.g. by a search on the web.

Any decent bitmap graphic program should be able to resize an image, by using either the width OR the height of the image, without touching the other size, which should result in respecting the aspect ratio of the image.
E.g. Adobe Photoshop, Inkscrape or GIMP (all available for Mac and PC, the last two even being for free).
