Hi,
I am building a website that is comprised of a header, two columns and a footer. The left column holds the navigation and the other column holds the main content of the site. I would like to be able to have the navigation of the left controlling the scrolling of the main content with anchors, which I can do, BUT I would like the navigation of the left to remain static and just have the main content scrolling up and down as the user clicks on the navigation, I can't figure out how to keep the left column and header static? Any help or tutorials would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. |

Or put the content in a DIV with 'overflow: auto' which will create scrollbars if needed. Frederiek's suggestion is the best though, even if it won't work in IE6.

There are lots of tricks to make it work, but out of the box 'position: fixed' doesn't work in IE6. That's what I meant.
