Basically I’m looking for help on some aspects of my web site layout. First I need to divide my web site in to editable spaces.THIS is what my site looks like and THIS is what I want to do and THIS is how I would like it to look. Any link to tutorials help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if I'm thick but... Are you talking about Dreamweaver's editable regions (or whatever they are called)? Or do you want to edit the page from the web, from your browser?

Because if it's your page, as I see it the whole page can be edited by you. Do you use some kind of software that stops you from doing so?

Looks like borders or in the first case it could be horizontal rules.
