On my website I link to another website that has a huge 900 page pdf and I provide a link that's similar to below (the link below isn't the actual website or file name, of course). The problem is most people complain that the link does take them to the correct page (722) but it also loads the entire document on their "browser" and takes quit a bit of time to do so. The reason a link is provided is because the "other website" has complained of copyright violation by me having the document, or parts of the document, on my website.

http://www.NameOfWebsite.com/reports/HotAir.pdf#page=722

If there an easy way to extract just one page (or a range of pages) of the pdf and display that for the visitor?

What are your ideas?

Thanks.

That's how Adobe says it should be done. My experience also is that this doesn't always work. It's long ago I tried it, but I don't think I ever figured out what makes it work with some PDFs and not with others.

If the PDF opens "in the browser" or not is a user setting. If they don't like it they should configure their browser not to allow it.

Sorry, that isn't to much help, but that's all I know about this.
