Is there any site/place where I can find a web design simulation? I mean where I can find a "fake" company/client that wants a website, and design a website for them? I want to practice my web design skills, so if there is a site/place(hopefully free) that provides "fake clients", please tell me! Thanks.

I do not want to do real design. I am a begginer and just want to explore web design a bit. I found that it was too hard to make up all my links/content for a totally made up person. If this is not possible, please tell me. If there is other similar options, please tell me.

I've never heard about something like that.

One thing you can do is to is to find an existing company site that you think is poorly designed and try to do it better. Borrow their text, links and images. As longs as you don't put it on the web, it won't harm anyone and you have something to play with. happy.gif

I did that a period. But I used sites I liked that used tables for layout and tried to replicate them with CSS instead.

Bookmark them when you happen upon them. Or you could search for local businesses in your area. You are bound to find a lot of poor sites.

Hi,

I have a free open directory, and I review all the sites before listing in the directory.... boy do I see some crappy sites. blink.gif

www.cabooseopendirectory.com

One that springs to mind is a psychic web site.... do a search in my directory and that will be a start to your list.

It doesn't have to be a poor site. You might as well rebuild a good one.

BTW, being able to recognize what's good and bad in a site is a skill by itself. Not all pretty sites are user-friendly.
