I want to include a PDF file in an HTML Web page (see: http://www.boddingtonlionsrodeo.com.au/entryfees.html)

I Googled how to do it and decided to use the HTML <embed> tag
this tag requires 'width:' and a 'height:' values in pixels, and by trial and error I arrived at values which made the pamphlet readable while almost fitting on the page.

It worries me using absolute units of measurement - what if the viewer's screen is smaller than the dimensions I have chosen?

Is it possible to express the 'width:' as a percentage, e.g. width="50%" so it adjusts when the screen is re-sized and when the Web page is displayed on smaller or larger screens of different resolutions.

Many thanks,

James

With CSS, yes. I don't know if it works in this case, but I see no reason it shouldn't.

The whole embedding thing depends on the user's settings though. I never allow neither PDF nor Office documents tho be "viewed in the browser". I think the factory setting is to allow it though, so it will probably happen for most people.
