Is this a login form? Then you might use a cookie to remember the user's login status.

I've got the a text box which you type into and click submit and it changes on the index.html page What changes on the index page --the text the user typed? Please explain what you want to happen in more detail. QUOTE but when I refresh the page it doesn't stay, is there away I can make it stay? If it's only meant to be visible for the current user, you might use javascript and a cookie for small amounts of text, or Local Storage for larger amounts. If it's meant to be seen by everybody, you need to save it on the server with a server-side script (e.g. PHP), either in a text file or a database. |
