Help Needed. Editing HTML in existing Tumblr theme Options

Hi, I joined the forum as I have been in the process of starting a blog for publishing my illustrations. Tumblr is the site I have chosen and my plan was to take one of the existing themes available and edit the HTML in the sites HTML Editor to personalised it.

My experience with HTML coding is fairly limited but I felt that if I followed online guides on how to make these changes, I would be able to get the job done. Sadly this hasn't been the case and so I find myself seeking some assistance.

I will include all information I feel will be needed in the post, however if any additional information is needed I will be able to supply it.
