So I'm building this site that utilizes an iframe for the content linked to a navigation bar at the top. Nothing too fancy and i'm sure you've seen many examples. The problem is, I have an anchor tag that references a javascript command outside of this iframe:
(<a href="java script:niftyplayer('niftyPlayer1').loadAndPlay('song.mp3')" target="_parent">Song Title</a> I used the target command "_parent" to target the original page to send the javascript command. This works perfectly on Firefox and IE, but is in no way compatible with WebKit based browsers (Safari, Chrome). In the debug console in safari, it states that the site cannot find the variable "niftyplayer" (the flash object which is controlled through javascript). I am completely lost! I'm pretty new to html so any workarounds, and help at all would be greatly appreciated. My page is at: http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~rtovar3/Sunny...oney/test.shtml Click the section for music, then click any of the song titles Thanks, Robert |
