I'm going to have the same horizontal navigation bar on many pages of my website (like the HTMLHelp.com / HTML Reference / CSS Reference / FAQs / etc. at the top and bottom of the pages of this site).

Is there any way to put the related HTML in a separate linked file (as for a CSS sheet or a script) in order not to have to copy / paste it in every single page ? This would be much more convenient for future updates too.

Sure. Use SSI (server Side Includes). If you already use a scripting language such as PHP you can use that instead.
