Whenever I make a really short post, this happens:

My website is located at http://whatblag.com

Any ideas?

Sorry to double-post, I just wanted to follow up.

It seems that if my first post does not go past the Twitter and RSS icons on the right sidebar, then this happens. As you can see, the width of the gap is the same size as those two icons. Weird.

It happens if the short post is further down too and here's why.

CODE
.post {margin-bottom: 55px; position: relative; min-height: 250px;}

The template makes .post be at least 250px high and that's what you get.

Oh, I see. Well, is there a practical reason for that? Do you think I'd be safe just changing the min-height to something smaller?

Also, thanks for helping.

You don't have to set a min-height to .post, leave it out altogether. IMO, the margin-bottom you have there is high enough already to seperate the posts.

BTW, if you get rid of the 400px width of .tags too, posts where you have many "tags" (such as the third post on "ereader app") won't go to the next line.

Awesome, thank you so much. smile.gif

If possible, could you also help me out with my other thread? http://forums.htmlhelp.com/index.php?showtopic=13656

It seems that my theme is a little wonky sometimes. The settings in the appearance tab randomly change position, messing up the colors and font size of my blog. It's strange. I hate tumblr sometimes...

Anyway, thanks again for all the help.

Afraid not. Those problems are Tumblr issues and not about HTML or CSS. Frederiek and I know zilch about Tumblr. Well, I assume so in Frederiek's case. cool.gif

Damn. I thought it might be related to HTML or CSS, because this only started happening when I switched to this particular theme.

Sigh--if I could go back in time, I'd use Wordpress, lol.

You're right, Pandy, like you, I know nada of tumblr.

Chris, if you sometimes hate tumblr, then why use it in the first place? laugh.gif (just kidding)
Anyway, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for someone tumblr savvy to pass by (wasn't that monoclebunny?) or if tumblr has a forum, try there.

Of course it's HTML/CSS related, but tumblr has it own way to create it, not something into which I'd dive.

The only reason I like Tumblr is because you can turn title's into links. If that's possible with wordpress, I may very well switch. I like my blog's minimal theme, but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to recreate.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to be patient. I don't think Tumblr has a forum, but I just emailed their support. Hopefully, I'll get an answer soon. :/

There is a girl that comes around here who's good at Tumblr stuff. You have to wait for her.

It really sucks if a place like that doesn't have a forum. They sure need one.
