Background:
I am teaching myself HTML using the resources available on the web. I tried creating my own HTML sites from scratch, which was fun but time-consuming to learn and I needed to get this website up sooner rather than later. So, I created a website using a template and a site builder made available to me by my web host, but I wasn't satisfied with the fact I couldn't replace the stock photos. I resorted to using iWeb on my Mac, which is currently in test mode right now. What I would like to do is make the links on the page for the contact me form and sibeliusmusic.com open in a separate window. I think iWeb creates XML, which I don't know at all. So all I am really looking for is XML code that would open the link in a new window. It's XHTML, an unholy alliance between HTML and XML. For your purposes, there is no difference between HTML and XHTML. You use Transitional so you can use target="_blank".
http://htmlhelp.com/faq/html/links.html#new-window The use of the XML declaration at the top of the document will put IE6 in Quirks Mode (as will anything before the doctype).
