My boss bought this software to create our company's website, he's already got the site almost ready to publish but now he wants me to create a page that has a login that customers can use to access a folder on one of our computers that contains their files. There are 5 customers needing this option so there would be 5 separate folders, therefore 5 different login/password combos. Is there a way to do this with WebEasy?
A step by step would be especially helpful..

No idea about WebEasy. Password protection is done server side anyway. A bascic protection for a folder is pretty easy to set up provided you don't need a fancy interface and a common login page for all of them.

If you are on an Apache server and can use .htaccess files google "Apache basic authentication".

Unfortunately, we're not. sad.gif
I knew I could set up the folder protection, just more or less needed to know if I could set up the login page and based on the username/password, would go to the appropriate folder... but if there was this option through WebEasy or would I need to provide a link on the page that would go to another site that would host the login..

If you want a common login page it gets more complicated and you need a script to handle the login and redirections. You could look for pre-written scripts, but I think you'll find most are way to complex for your needs, whole systems like communities of different kinds. It's worth looking though. http://hotscripts.com is one place to go. Or if you can find someone to write it for you, it shouldn't take long if what you describe is all you want.

I assume other servers than Apache should offer password protection too. Perhaps there's even a simple setting in some control panel at your web host.
