When using the title attribute for a hyperlink, is there a way to control the tooltip delay?
Basically, I want to program my website such that when a link is moused over that has a title attribute, the tooltip will display immediately, instead of delaying for a few seconds. I did some basic Googling and couldn't find the answer, so I'm wondering if anyone here has knowledge on this topic. Thanks in advance for any useful info! |

Sorry, no. You can't control the browser's normal title tooltip.
There are JavaScript techniques for creating your own tooltips, which you can control. |

Thanks for the clarification Darin, I think I'll probably just do away with the link titles then.
For me, it's really not worth adding JavaScript to every hyperlink for that functionality, and with the default delay, I don't think many visitors will even notice the tooltips. |
