When using the title attribute for a hyperlink, is there a way to control the tooltip delay?

Basically, I want to program my website such that when a link is moused over that has a title attribute, the tooltip will display immediately, instead of delaying for a few seconds.

I did some basic Googling and couldn't find the answer, so I'm wondering if anyone here has knowledge on this topic.

Thanks in advance for any useful info!

Sorry, no. You can't control the browser's normal title tooltip.

There are JavaScript techniques for creating your own tooltips, which you can control.

Thanks for the clarification Darin, I think I'll probably just do away with the link titles then.

For me, it's really not worth adding JavaScript to every hyperlink for that functionality, and with the default delay, I don't think many visitors will even notice the tooltips.
