Is there a way to force an existing image with a white background to have a clear background so that the background art on the page is visible?

Here's the page:

http://www.neopets.com/gallery/?gu=hasenbuhler

As you can see, the animated images at the top (except for the first one) have a white square around them. I want them to all look like the first one. Is there a way to force the images to have a clear background, without actually editing the images?

No go.

Anyway, you should be able to change the background properties in an editor for animated GIFs, if that's what they are.
