Hi. Here is the link to the page I am working on:
http://christthesavioracademy.org/site/index.html Thank you so much in advance for your help. Here are my questions: 1. why can't I get the footer background centered along with the rest of the page 2. why does it fall apart in IE7? Thanks! |

Examining the elements in Chrome, it appears that div#footer is centered. However, it is also 100% width, and the background isn't positioned. The default background position is top left, so that's what you see.
I don't have access to a system with MSIE, but the online tools do report a few markup and CSS errors: http://htmlhelp.com/cgi-bin/validate.cgi?u...mp;warnings=yes http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validat...ng=&lang=en Note that you end up with white-on-white text if the user's fonts are larger than you expect. Here's a more robust approach to custom corners and borders: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/customcorners/ http://www.alistapart.com/articles/customcorners2/ |

Thanks Darin. The footer was an easy fix - so stupid on my part!
Most of the validator errors have to do with the youtube video - maybe I should use a different player. I don't see anything in the validator that would cause the columns to break in IE7. Any other suggestions? Thanks! |
