Hi,

Since I'm a brand new here I'd rather ask first before posting something that could be misconstrued for my intention.

Yesterday I was searching for an elegant way to add Twitter account to our website, after 15 minutes or more I found a desirable solution, so, the thought is, if I post it here on how to do it? It would save people at least 10 minutes...

So, I wonder if it's generally considered ok to post tips here (on this forum)...

What do you think?

As long as the tips are applicable to web authoring, are posted in the correct forum, and aren't spammy, go for it!

Thanks for the encouragement and clarification, Darin.

Well, here we go, if you want to add a link on your site to have visitors to follow you on Twitter,
here's the sample code,

<a href="http://twitter.com/share" class="twitter-share-button" data-count="none" data-via="knowledgenotebk">Tweet</a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script>
<a href="http://twitter.com/knowledgenotebk" class="twitter-follow-button" data-show-count="false">Follow</a>
<script src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Instructions of its use:
a) copy / paste it
b) replace the "knowledgenotebk" with your own Twitter account.

And if you need to take a look at a live site of how it's been implemented go to my website and you'll noticed the Twitter follow icon at the bottom of the landing page. I strongly suggest you do this first because knowing how it would work would facilitates coding.

Hope the tip is not too late and hih.

P.S. wow, Darin, we belong to the same early Internet adopters group...

It looks like there is a more general how-to on the twitter site:
